Wizard's Chess Set

A gothic wizard-school chess set designed in Fusion and made to be 3D printed without supports: potion-flask pawns, castle-turret rooks, wizard-hat bishops with a bent tip and star band, owl knights, a moon-sorceress queen with a crescent and five spires, and a headmaster-tower king with a star finial. Every design is original; no franchise characters, logos or lettering are used.

The viewer shows the full set on its board: 32 pieces (16 stone gray, 16 charcoal) on the standard start squares, and a board made of four 208 mm quadrants with a castle-wall border, 32 light-square inserts and 8 seam joiners. Use the part tree to isolate a piece, a quadrant or one color. Select any part to see its ID, print file and volume.

Why four quadrants: eight 50 mm squares make a 400 mm board, which cannot be split into two halves that fit a 256 mm print bed, so the board is four pieces. No hinge is modeled.

Assembly: download the PDF manual (15 steps, parts list with pictures, print guide, final inspection and troubleshooting). In short: print and clean the parts, glue the four quadrants together with the 8 joiners from underneath, drop the 32 light inserts into their pockets, optionally add felt pads and 10 x 3 mm magnets under the pieces, then set up the white and black sides with the owls facing the opponent.

Status: Designed only. Nothing has been printed or tested yet. The 0.2 mm clearances for the joiners and inserts are provisional, and the filament masses are estimated from the model volume, not measured. Small parts and sharp points: not a toy for children under 14.
